Love the colors! I was going to do the same thing for my daughter with a black sweater I have, but I can't decide if I want them as leggings or legwarmers/babylegs. Smiley May have to find a striped sweater for her leggings. Grin

yes, good sweater to use for leggings.  I'm curious what you are going to do with the rest of the sweater  Smiley

Back with some "action" shots!

Only thing cuter than a baby butt?  A STRIPED baby butt:

beckey--How funny. . .Yep, it's a Gap sweater all right--I found it at a thrift store last winter.  I thought it was cute enough to keep for myself except it was too small for my pregnant belly last year, and too small for my nursing boobs this year.  Smiley

It was made with a size small sweater, and the leggings were supposed to be for my (tall) 5-month-old.  But as you can see from the pics, there's plenty of room/length to them--they'd probably fit up to a 12-month-old, I'm guessing.

As for what to do with the rest of the sweater. . .I'm pondering that myself.  Try and finagle a matching. . .something. . .for Big Sister?   Felt it and make a purse for myself?  Suggestions?

Thanks for the sizing info. They look adorable on your baby.

Those are adorable! They look like longies actually (for cloth diapers) I wonder if they could be used the same way?

And what  cute little model! Nothing cuter than a baby butt, striped or otherwise!

I do this with wool sweaters. They make great diaper covers for cloth diapers.

Perfect idea!! I'm going home to cut up my black cashmere sweater (because its too hot for me) and my red and white christmassy type sweater because my nursing boobs are too big for it!
I hope mine turn out HALF as good as yours did!!
