My daughter had outgrown her previous Winnie the Pooh dance bag, and wanted something more "grown-up", but still pink (she's 7).  This holds her jazz and tap shoes, a sweater and snack.

I winged the pattern in single crochet, then felted it, which, btw, is not easy to do in a front-loading washer!  My mom helped with the lining, then I added the grommets.  The pocket is done in punch needle embroidery.

What a fantastic bag!  Your daughter must love it (or will, if you haven't given it to her yet), I know I do.  The grommets are a really nice touch - they make it look very professional.

Oooh I love everythign about it!! Pink and black look great together, the grommets are a GREAT idea and I love simplicity with single crochet =)

I remember the dance bag I had as a kid, it was nasty! I think my mom still has it and its all ripped up and dirty
