What/where are some thrift stores/op shops in Hamilton?
Or some cheap places to get material.
I only know of spotlight.

Are there any emporium places that have some?
I used to go to Ikes emporium in Auckland.

I'm terrible with street names as I only lived in the mighty Hamtown for about 5 months and that was yeaaaars ago now, but I know that there's a place called dave's emporium down the side street near burger fuel, and there's a big salvation army if you go through the malls heading away from garden place. Te Rapa has the best opshops, dunno about for fabric though as I didn't sew back then. There's a recycle shop at the dump too which can be awesome.
Sorry, not too much help am i? I'm sure someone else can fill in the gaps. (Thee might be another topic about hamilton? maybe?)
Have you just moved there?

Yes yes! David's Emporium!  It's been there forever and it's truly wonderful.  Re op shops, there's a Savemart in Te Rapa that's pretty awesome if you want heaps and heaps of stuff to look through.  The Salvos in Barton Street is good.  My personal favourite is the Presbyterian Support op shop in London St (I think).  It's a wee shop but it's super cheap and I've found some wonderful stuff there over the years.  Yeah and the dump shop is cool.  Dunno about fabric either, I started crafty stuff after I left.

There used to be the most amazing CORSO shop where they put on heaps of amazing raves in the 90s but alas it is no longer with us.

I miss Hamiltron.
