so, blue bird flour is like the definition of being an Indian. it's like the key ingredient for making frybread (fry dough, for you northeasterners), so it's really big in Indian country. anywho, my mom made this awesome apron from one.

and I made a tote bag, omg this mother took FOREVER! like literally sweat and blood went into making this bag (the blood was from when i pricked myself with the needle  Tongue) but I LOVE it. =)

me modeling the bag

anywho, thought i'd share  Smiley

Your Mom's apron is great!  And your tote bag was worth the effort.
I love the bird design, the recycling, everything!

Where do you get your bags?  Do you buy that much flour?

I love it. I am a Canadian Indian. We call out fry bread Gungon (pronounced gun-jun)!!!

i have never seen a sack of flour in that kind of material. Its awsome. you and your mom both did a nice job. Way to recycle and make something useful out of something that would normally just be tossed away.

you can buy the flour bags or the company (which is a local business) sells them, but most people would by the flour, but we dnn't make much frybread.
