God's thunder spits fire...and sends the oak trees dancing, a wild dance, whirling; the pelting rain strips their branches. We fall to our knees-we cry out, "glory".

This design is amazing; I love the negative space and asymmetry. Nice work. Smiley

I love this! I've been thinking about knitting this for a while. I love the way it looks in the round too--there's no pesky seam distracting you from the lovely leaf pattern.

I actually have one quick, kind of stupid question about knitting in the round--how did you cast off for the armholes? I've knitted sweaters before, but only on straights, so I'm always kind of amazed when people modify patterns written for straight knitting.

You knit in the round up to the arm holes, then you knit 'straight' (as in knit and purl) separately (front and back) up to the shoulders.

Yup, what she said Smiley When you do it in the round, you just end up with a few more fiddly bits than you would if you knitted it straight, but the idea is still the same.

Beautiful! I love the color you chose so much, and I like the mod you did with the neckline.

I've been waffling back and forth about buying that phildar book/magazine/whatever it is called.  Now I'm totally going to splurge!

Oh, and the sweater is BEAUTIFUL.  It's actually the reason why I wanted to buy that book to begin with!

A fundamentally amoral use of faux fur.
