For Lucky's 1st birthday, he had a pirate party! I decided that knitting some sea creatures was the way to go.

Here is the octopus. I got the pattern somewhere on here. His mom says that he loves to hold it while he sleeps.

After much frustration, I finally finished this crab! I made up the pattern as I went, and I have never really made up any kind of knitted thing like this. Lucky likes to put this one in his dump truck and push it around the house.

Here is the link to the whole gift! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=206526.msg2206408;topicseen#msg2206408

I think octopi (correct plural?) are scary in real life- but this one looks very cuddly and sweet : ) What a cute idea for toys!

Gasp! My grandmother used to knit octopi instead of doilies. She had them all over her house! I can't believe this! lol Yours is much cuter...hers were kinda...scary.

They are sooooo cute!  I especially love the octopus's expression.  I think that Lucky is very lucky (hahahahaha, get it?... sigh...).
