So these are what I've been working on lately.

My aunt (and also my midwife) had leukemia and wasn't doing well, so I was trying to get the butterfly girl finished in time to give to her, but sadly, she didn't see the finished result before passing away on Saturday. I'm pretty sure she would've loved it, and now my uncle has put it with her other favorite things, so that make me happy.

So here's the butterfly girl:

and her wings- the embroidery is what took me so long to finish:

and then here's a little snowflake girl that I entered in the Holiday Softie Awards snow category, though she has darker hair now:

and lastly, a little ladybird or ladybug doll, she's a twin of the butterfly girl, I made the bodies at the same time, assembly line style!

Thanks for looking!

Sooo cute, like all your designs!  Those wings are wonderful.  I'm very sorry to hear about your aunt.

Thanks everyone!

and Envyus, you reminded me that I had left out that I actually did name it after her- Francisca.

She was pretty annoyed at having cancer, but she loved being a midwife, so hubby and I are making a donation in her name to the Midwives Alliance of North America. http://www.mana.org/ Support your local midwife Cheesy

More adorable creations, Owly! And what a wonderful tribute to your aunt!  To help spread the love, I think I'll have to get the patterns!

Wow, what a wonderful job.  I can't decide which of them I like better, although I do think these are my favourite ones yet (I think you must have had some divine inspiration working while thinkig of your aunt).
