You did a really great job with this, especially having to finish up in the bathroom! I really want to see when someone does make a lifesize big Totoro!

I made this for my Totoro-loving boyfriend for our anniversary last Saturday. It took me a long time to make, since he is always around and I wanted to keep it a secret. I spent the night before our anniversary locked in the bathroom pretending to have "stomach problems" so I could put on the finishing touches!

I got the pattern for free: http://heavens-hellcat.livejournal.com/420.html.

EDIT: Yes, I used Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Lake and Snow, some brown Lily's Cream & Sugar for the nose and claws, 9mm safety eyes and a size F crochet hook. Cotton Ease is just so darn easy to work with (hence the "Ease" I guess).

That looks great, I have been wanting to do both for the kids, they LOVE Totoro

I have no idea what Totoro is but this little animal is really cute!  I laughed out loud at your "stomach issues" story, lol Cheesy

Hand-sewn with care.  No, really, there's little pieces of my hand stitched in!
