These are what I'm making for teacher gifts this year.  I made the orange one for myself, but I have done the red one for a teacher.  I have 1 more teacher one to do and would like your input on a design.  I want a clipart to copy, so any links would be very helpful!!!  Please tell me what you think!

I remember making one of these when I was about 8 years old at Micheal's in their 'craft club' ^^
needless to say, it wasn't nearly as good as yours ^^;

I'm sure the teachers will love you for them!  Cheesy Nothing like candy to take your mind off of a long night of marking  Wink

I'm addicted to DDR. I need a 12-step program.

The counselor at the elementary school I went to had a gumball machine in her office that had been turned into a fish tank (or perhaps was just made that way to begin with). I've been trying to find one for years, and have had no luck. Your pictures instantly reminded me of that.

They look really great - you did a good job! I don't have any immediate suggestions for clip art. What type of teacher is it? You could do something related to the subject the teacher teaches, or perhaps something simple like a drawing of a pencil and notebook paper. Or even just stenciling his or her name on would be cool.

I think this is a really cool idea - I've never seen it done before.  Smiley Your teachers will love them! I wish I was in school again...

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

Thanks for all the positive comments!

I've seen this exact same idea with fish...I suppose you can put whatever you want in it, but goldfish and Betta's really don't last very long in containers without heaters and filters.  It's a very cute idea, but not very animal friendly.

Anyway, I'm finishing the third one now...will edit my first post to add the picture.

Still have one more (it's base coated yellow) with no idea about what to put on it!  Cry

These are very cute!  I'll bet the teachers will really appreciate them.  For the third one, how about just a pattern (stripes, dots, checks), the school mascot or motto, the teacher's name, or something related to the subject he or she teaches?

Where'd you find those? I'd love to make one for my mom- a teacher, of course.
