Vintagy ornaments (tut added on the page 4)

I'm preparing myself for Christmas, the season I like the best

I made this ornaments from scraps and polystyrene balls, I want to make them plenty





Tell me what do you think...

Tutorial from page 4 copied here:

OK, I had to go and buy more balls - my neighbour wants to buy 12 of these from me, HA !!!

But here we go with the tut, sorry for the crappy pics, but I have two hands only... And sorry for my crappy English too...

You will need a polyester ball, scraps of fabric, a pencil and a small cutter.

1. Cut the fabric more or less like this:



It must be 1/2 of the ball circumference long and 1/8 wide, plus a little "seam allowance" (there are no seams, but I had do call it somehow).

2. With the pencil mark four lines on the ball...



and than another four.



3. Cut the lines.



4. With the other, non-cutting side of the cutter blade insert the seam allowance of the fabric



5. If you have a little too much of fabric left on the top - just cut it.



6. Continue like this...



7. Right to the end

oh i love these!! they look like they'd be reaallly easy as well. you coul even fill them with yummy smelling stuff to give as gifts or decorative present accesories (like if they were smaller or something)

Those are really pretty, I love the first two the most! I was wondering how you stuffed them and got them so round, I hadn't though of styrofoam balls, that's great.

Those are insane... in a good way of course. I remember using those polystyrene balls to make ornaments in Girl Scouts. Of course ours involved sequins, glitter, and rickrack, not nearly as classy and beautiful as yours
