I'm trilled! .. I'm studying to become a silversmith and this is my first piece.

It's a psicodelic flower looking pendant..all abstract...the links have movement so it adapts to your neck.

It's reversible.. this side has texture

Opinions most welcome!!!!!!  Grin

Haha.. you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous being: Never get involved in a land war in Asia. Only slightly less well know is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Outstanding work.

The repetition of variant teardrop shapes within a symmetric design reinforces the organic theme of the flower focal point.

Some of it looks very fiddly
Did you cut it all out of sheet metal? Saw piercing?
Did you make all the loops for the chain or did you use some ready made jump rings?

It was very hard in fact..took me a long time around 9 days total on and off.

I did the flower, pumpking, teardrop piece with a jeweler saw I soldered a frame to it, the loops of the chain where with a saw as well all 6 pieces of it, the idea was for it to have movement and adapt to any neck. The jump rings I made them and soldered them.. which honestly was the hardest part. That and the polishing.. I burnt myself and cut myself endless times..

This piece was to learn how to solder and use a jeweler saw and it had to be square and framed, now I'm making 2 rings and a piece based on a cylinder.

Here's some pictures  I made many changes from the initial drawing as you can see

The only thing I didn't make is the fine silver chain.

Diana It's amazinggg!! I was like a kid in a candy store.. all and every single idea that you have in your head even if is the craziest design can be made it's so inspiring.

it makes me think of a folk art inspired pumpkin

I'm adding that one to the list does too.. all my friends have a different one..

Fantastic!

It's kind of hard to begin with I was very afraid to burn the piece or to burn myself.. since we are not used of using fire at those temperatures and so close to us.. at least for me was sort of scary.. hope you keep doing better and better  Wink
