Blue Bird of Zetti-ness

Long live the
Blue Bird of Zetti-ness,
my entry for the
ATC 'Zetti Turkey' Challenge.

This mixed media bird sports a tail of 10 blue scraps of paper, some luscious bright pink butterfly wings, and the ever delicious stripey legs.  Face is a stamped image, cut closely and doodled over with sharpie and colored pencil.  Waddle is red handmade paper, very feathery and soft. Background is torn bits of phonebook paper, layered and covered with a bit of punchinella stenciled white pigment ink.

I gave it all a good run-a-round with shading with colored pencils, and then the whole thing got the standard 'racky-edge' black inkpad treatment to finish it off.

Thanks guys!  I started out with a bit of a different vision (I was going to use india ink) and went this way instead.

I should note that the striped paper in the background is just what I scanned it on, and not part of the card itself.
