I am required to take drawing 101 (well you know..) for my degree in Fashion design, and I always claim I cannot draw.. But I have now accomplished my greatest drawing ever. It's a picture of my grandmother based on a photo taken on my wedding day. I just wanted to share since, like I said, it's the best thing I have ever, and probably will ever do.

It's charcoal on cold pressed illustration board 15 by 20.

Thanks for looking Smiley

Huh? What do you mean you can't draw. It looks just like her! You might as well say, "I can't breathe!"
That is one great picture and your grandma needs a copy, so that she can be proud of what a great artist you are.

This is really good! No longer can you claim you can't draw. You will improve more! The detail is incredible! This is light years ahead of what I can do.

So, how long did this take to finish?

And if you haven't already, show us your fashion design arts and doodles in our fashion doodling thread.  Wink

Thanks all! I am planning on framing it actually and giving it to my granny as a Christmas present. Smiley I appreciate all your kind comments. I will say that this has given me a lot more confidence in my abilities so I am enjoying drawing even more.

I definitely plan on showing some of my sketches in the fashion design thread, I was browsing it and enjoying looking at others.. Smiley
