I want to make some bottle cap jewelry and such, but I have no idea where to get the caps. I tried my local Goodwill, but they don't have anything like that, and there is no FreeCycle group or anything of the sort in my area.

Help please?

I saw a ton on e-bay actually this morning...very good price. Cheesy
I like doing the necklaces and earrings from the bottle caps.
Good Luck, RJ

I work in a restaurant that has a bar. I just asked the bartender to save the caps for me.  In one night I had at least a hundred.  Go to your local bar/restaurant and ask them to save the caps for you.  They shouldn't have a problem with it.  Good luck!

Start keeping caps from when you drink?

I have a bunch of snapple caps! There the coolest cause they have a fact on them.

Hmm...dumpster dive time!

My husband and I love to go to our local City Barbeque restaurant.  They serve old fashioned sodas and beers  in big iced tubs.  They have openers on the sides of the counters.  They always like it when I come in and rifle through their drop boxes looking for the coolest caps.  I never leave with empty pockets from there.

Bars are a great source of intersting wine corks, too.  Especially restaurant bars.

Ask local bars or your friends to save you some. If you need blank/empty ones, look on sites that selling brewing supplies. My dad brews his own beer and has hundreds of blank bottle caps! Cheesy

I would like to find a way to get imported caps.  Soda caps like those from Coke and Dr Pepper, hard to find as they are, have all the ingredients listed on them.  Ugly.  I saw Pepsi and others from Mexico that didn't have all that crap on them.

I recommend bars for caps and tabs.  Ask the bartenders to save them.  I tried the bottlers, but you just get a runaround.

I made friends with the president of a frat house. Everytime I saw him at a party he had bags full of beer caps for me. I'm thinking of maybe stopping by the frat houses in my city and striking up a deal where if they donate caps to me, I'll make them something.

For whatever reason my husband collected these in the late seventies/eighties.  Anyone have any ideas on what to do with them?  I have at least 200-300.  All vintage if that is what you want to call them.  Pepsi, Squirt, Fresca, Tab, Coke, 7 up.....
