I just finished my first circle skirt! It was pretty easy up until I got to putting in the waist band. I had the hardest time trying to figure out the right way to do it. Does anyone have any good advise I could use for the next time I make another skirt?

I used the tutorial from april_cocaine.

I love it!

For waistbands, firstly, make them a few inches smaller then the circle of the skrit(so they're a little smaller then where you want it sitting on your waist). Then, turn the circle skirt inside out, and put the waist band inside of the skirt, lining the top edges up. Then just stretch the waist band a bit as you sew with a zigzag stitch.

If you want the band to be perfectly placed and stretched, then fold into quarters and put a pin on each fold line, so you have four pins spaced apart evenly. Do the same thing for the skirt, then match the pins up on the skirt and waist band.
