Here's a simple blanket I recently finished.  No specific recipient, although I have an acquaintance who's due next March to whom I plan to give it.

Although it's made out of acrylic, I will probably do some light blocking soon to make it lie down flat at the edges before I give it away.

The granny squares have five rounds and are surrounded by a sixth round of solid dc.  These are in a worsted weight, rainbow pastel variegated yarn.  There's another border of dc, ch 1, sk next st in worsted weight, white yarn.  The squares are connected with the white yarn with sc with the ridge facing up.

Each square is about 9" x 9".  There are 16 squares with four in each row, so the total dimensions of the blanket is approximately 3' x 3'.

Thanks for looking!

Him: I think we've been on the same page for a while now.
Me: What if we're on the same page, but in different books?
