Just moved!

Hi everyone, I just moved to Hawaii on Wednesday. I'm waiting for my car to get here, so I'm pretty much stranded in Ewa Beach until it arrives. I'd like to get to know some crafty-minded people out here because I just left an amazing SnB group in California. I mainly knit and sew, but I have tried crochet and scrapbooking.

There's the SNb in Honolulu/leeward/Kailua side. I haven't gone yet myself.

The Aloha Knitters have meetings in Honolulu, Kailua, and Kapolei - some members have also been meeting occasionally in Aiea. Despite the name, we are not just knitters! Many of us crochet and some also spin and weave.

We used to be called Honolulu SNB, but when the whole trademark kerfuffle went down, Yahoo! shut down the Honolulu SNB group. I'm still a little annoyed by that - SNB is more inclusive and cuts down on the confusion of who is welcome (which is everyone - even if you don't stitch - one of the regulars is the spouse of a knitter and just hangs out and chats).
