So, My husband came home the other day with a big box. I said, "what's in there honey?" "About 40 Pillowcases!" He says. He works in plumbing so I have no idea where these would have come from. Perplexed, I asked him "What the heck are we going to do with them?" "Use them on our pillows, of course!"

Well, that night I got a message in my voice mail from my sister. She told me all about the craftster challenge and how I should join her and learn how to embroider pillowcases. "It's a sign" I said to myself. So here I am posting my creations.

One pillowcase is for me and one for my husband. We are complete opposites most of the time. He loves winter, and cold, and he can't resista cup of Hot Cocoa. I love, love, LOVE the summer, heat and I can't resist a cool glass of Lemonade. So, I put three opposites together, Summer and Winter, Hot and Cold, Sweet and Sour.
This is my first shot at embroidery but I have been sewing and doing other fabric crafts for quite a while.

Whether you are a summer person or a winter person you can agree that you can't enjoy one without the other.  This makes my mouth water, mmmmmmmmm. . . . .
It feels like hot cocoa time will be here soon! Living in Phoenix, we pray for cool weather when we can put on sweaters and drink hot cocoa without having heat stroke!

Thanks for looking, and . . . . . VOTE FOR ME!!!!!

So simple, yet so refreshing!

Mmmm, Lemons. Is your mouth watering yet?

Oh soo rich and chocolatey

I love mini marshmallows

Here is a close up on a snowflake.

Thanks again for looking and

Beautiful. I especially like the lemon. Did you learn from a book? What book, and how many stitches did you use? Apparently I'm a quantitative person...

That's beautiful!  I don't embroider (yet!) so I'm not entering this challenge, but I love looking at the entries

I think I'm going to make some hot cocoa with marshmallows now.  Smiley

Great job!  I can't decide which I like better as they are both so detailed and look delicious.

We are heading to Phoenix in a week for a holiday and we are hoping it stays hot while we are there!!!

Thanks a bunch! I got a book from the library that gave some simple stiches. I don't know what the book was called, I already took it back. I only used 3 stiches. Since it was my first project I didn't want it to be too complicated. I used a slip stitch, a satin stich and a detached chain stich for the flowers.  Thanks for looking!
