How do you get to the center of a Tootsie Roll bag?

You can't tell from the photos--blame my bad lighting--but the colours on this bag just pop with bright pastel sherbet goodness. So...a double sided lining of lemon and lime, some vinyl and some invisible thread later, voila. Tootsie Roll bag.





Had enough perfect front pieces of the candy bag to make front and backs of the tote, and the sides and bottom are clear medium weight vinyl over the lemon side of my double lining. Heavy card stock between the lining fabric gives form to the bottom, and I vinyl coated the handles just for syncronicity. I'll post photos of the lining when I find my gooseneck lamp for aimed lighting, cause the originals were a wee bit too dark to see properly. But those of you familiar with french seams know what the inside looks like and can imagine it.

And there you have it, my contribution to the recon candy wrapper/bag tote.

Very cute!  Love it!  If I had been thinking clearly when I opened the fun size Snickers bag from Halloween...I would have been more careful about it.
