when i saw this amazing fabric i had to buy it and said to myself...hmmm i gonna make some pillows with this fabric.
on my way home i got some more blue stuff to match the pillows...candles and curtains etc.
next week i went back for more fabric because i decided to re-upholster my chairs, and i took some brown fabric for my couch (hmmmz this word looks stupid, correct me if i am wrong)
anyway.....after the couch and chairs were finished i painted the wall and hang up a new lamp.
it is all temporary because we need to do the whole room..new walls, new floor, new ceiling etc etc...but for now i feel much more happy in this room then before.
i still wanna do some other things i wanna buy that fantastic rug i saw and i wanna paint the other table i have in my garage that is now a sort of puzzle that i have to  put together.
tell me what you think.

and this is how it was.

hmm i dont have much before pics.

That looks so cozy and welcoming!  I love the way the vibrant blues pop off the rich brown.  You did an excellent job with your reupholstering, too!  Another lovely home project from you, miep!

And yes, "couch" is right.  In the US we also call that piece a "sofa".  I don't know why both are right!

I love it! I always wanted to do something crazy on my walls, specifically brown, but was always afraid. I am newly inspired!

What a great transformation!!  I am so jealous of that room.  I love blue and brown! I'm so glad it's in style again.  I've been using it for so long and my friends used to say how ugly brown was.  Now they're all wearing it!
