I made my daughter Strawberry Shortcake for Story Book Character Day at school (fancy non Halloween name)

Everything was hand crafted

except ofcourse the stockings (sockdreams.com)
and the shoes (yay Goodwill for $2.99 Dr Martens)

The HAT was the hardest thing to make (sigh)
and once it was done I wasn't going to try to add the
strawberries to it (can you say afraid to ruin it)
But the little strawberry on top was the easiest thing ever!
2 triangles sewn on the sides stuffed then the top gathered
and 3 small triangls sewn in circle and gathere for the leaves
attach and tada!

My inspiration
and this beautiful dress I saw on ebay while I was browsing for images.

that is THE BEST SSC costume i've ever seen... and I know strawberry shortcake. i'm so used to seeing all these teen girls in "sluttier" versions that look nothing like her, and i hate it. it ruins the whole point of who they're dressing up as!
