I May be looking way too much into this but when the book says:

"ch 14, working in back bumps of foundation ch, sc in second and each ch across (13 sc)"

Now, Does that mean sc in the back loop? or the bumpy bit on the wrong side of the change cause then there's this part..

"pivot work to work along opposite side of foundation, sk first sc, 6 dc in next sc, sk 1 sc, sk last sc....."

That would lead me to believe im working in the back loops. But I want to make sure. This is my first amigurumi and I'd like to start off on the right foot.

Thanks in advance!

I would assume you're working on the back loop like you thought. Otherwise, the next part wouldnt make sense. Try it on the back loop and if it looks weird, try it the other way but i bet they meant back loop.

My guess would be you're working in the back bump on the foundation chain, then you turn it over and sc in both loops of the chain as you would normally for the next part. But it's rather confusingly described.

I was going to ask the same when I came up with this thread. I think kristi`s explanation cleared it up for me, I`m going to try this right now. That`s the good part of searching the forums before asking a question. Wink
