thanks Smiley they also freaked me out while I was making them! It's kinda like watching a slasher flick...you know it's not real, you know it's hollywood magic, but it's still gross and creepy. Once I got them in the baggies and felt them squishing around, it was super gross!

My mom totally wants me to make her a hanger necklace though! I think it'll be her Xmas present  Smiley

Costume is funny, in a not serious way. But I really don't see your connection between little girls dressing sexy and you not agreeing with it? Could you explain that part a little more? Dressing like that doesn't really make a statement against it, if you are doing exactly what they are doing.

I think those fetus' were a good idea, creative and so gross. I also like the coat hanger necklace, it is pretty cute on its own but works brilliantly with your costume.

Seeing the girls' costumes was what made me realize the whole "sexy" thing was getting ridiculous.  I wasn't specifically trying to make the statement about the little girls' costumes as I was pointing out that the "sexy profession" costume was getting out of control. It was just seeing that it was reaching to young girls' costumes that made me want to poke fun at the whole idea of "sexy" in random professions and other typical halloween costumes.

Your costume is amazing, and I wasn't offended in the slightest. I can see that it's not about the ol' pro choice/ pro life debate at all. You just picked an unpleasant profession to show how ridiculous the sexy profession costumes are. Even abortion doctors think its unpleasant; they're on a rotation to keep from getting too depressed and have the highest suicide rate of all doctors (I'm pre-med, and know enough to dance in circles about it). High five to you, because I think that using halloween as an excuse to dress like a slut and get away with it is offensive. You should just dress like a slut for the hell of it :.)
Anyhow, i am not going to disclose my political/biological views here because it is not pertinent and you did not ask for a critique on the morals behind your costume, but they are such that I could feasibly be offended. Personally I think it is fantastic.

I don't know whether your costume says pro-choice or not. It's shocking and in bad taste. If that's what you were going for than bravo. Halloween was originally a children's holiday. Not anymore. Adults like to dress up in costumes too. However, that does not mean that there have to be sexy children's costumes. We need to send a message to the marketers of those costumes and leave them on the racks. Maybe they'll stop making them. As for the Sexy adult costumes, they belong in adult toy stores so that the kids don't get ideas. IMO.

Funny! I was thinking the same thing about the whole sexy costume stuff! They make everything sexy now! I was even going to dress as a "sexy shoelace" to prove that point!

Overall the costume is great. Very creative. I also think the wire hanger necklace is funny.

About it being offensive, everything about halloween is offensive!! Hello?!!! Bullets in heads, bloody bodies, dead people, decapitated people, everything! So I think arguing about it is somewhat pointless.

I like the costume and I admire your guts to actually post it!
