question - can it only be one item to start with?

Could I do something like that (so long as it's under $20) or does it have to come from a single item to start with?

Ditto on this question.

This is a good challenge for me.  I am fairly new to this forum and I will be entering this challenge. I have plenty of ugly stuff around my house in boxes that I need a good reason to redo.

To make the thrift item "un-ugly" are you aloud to add pieces of fabric and or trinkets and beads that arn't apart of the "main" piece, and if so do they also have to be second hand? Or can you combine uglies?

Maybe my question is too confusing.

Ooh the only recon I've ever done b4 was just to convert troosers into a pleated skirt and I still haven't posted a project on here, but I'm willing to try and give this a go, especially since I ended up chickening out on the board games challenge! :-S  So many xmas presents yet to make but I'm off to the charity shops with a mate tomorrow I think :-D
