From the first post:
You must take pictures of the item in it's original state so we can see both the before and the after.

Be sure to read through the first post, everyone!  Lots of good info in there. Smiley  Good luck to all!

I really, really, really want to join in on this. Mainly because there's two craft stores on my way home from school, as well as the biggest thrift-store (well, kringwinkel, cycle-shop, which sounds fancier but is basically the same) Only problem: Christmas exams start on the 6th, and I need all the good grades I can get my grubby little hands on.

Also, do we have to convert the sum of $20 to our own currency, or can we do a rough estimate?

I converted 20 bucks into pounds and came up with 9 British pounds and forty five pence. Hope I did the right thing.

| have got to the pulling apart and picked up the felt to put all back together as something fab.

This challenge has been great fun so far ! I cant wait till we can all post our pics ! I am really exited to see everyones projects  Wink Wink I am almost finished with mine and Im really Happy I read through the thread because pretty much all my questions were answered ...I was so exited that the day after I read about the challenge I went thrifting and to my great joy .. I found a super ugly Item and some cool/super ugly/awesome fabric to combine with it .. and I did like most and took pics of the price stickers lol  Wink I think I did good on price .. my main "ugly" was only 4 $ the extra fabric ( of wich Ill be left with tons!) was 7$ and then the addition of two special mystery items that came in a "everything you can stuff in a bag for 1 $ sale" .. any way I cant wait till the first !!!

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY Cheesy

i'm pretty sure that you won't have to convert... like if it is 20$ canadian or american or whatever then just says like 20 pound? i think that is the same because it is probably what is under twenty dollars where you live so it would be under 20 pound, dollar, UN, yen whatever you use Tongue hope that helped...

OK. Here's my little saga. My thrift store had nothing I could use. Yeah sure there was plenty of ugly to transform but I really have to cut the clutter down in the house.
So here's the question.
If I bought a pair of items for $40 (I love craigslist) can I use 1 of them for the project?
I already bought them because I needed them so if the answer is no I'll deal with it.

I hope everyone's crafting, crafting!!

To answer all the conversion questions - try not to go over $20 US dollars.

Kimmer, using half of a pair that was $40 would be fine, I'm sure. Smiley
