I've seen this pattern now for a week, and got really excited to try. I actually learned how to do heads better by doing this for my normal people dolls. .)

Anyway, here's my first Poppet. 8D He's not going to have hair at all, and I rather like him the way he is without clothes. XD He's pretty basic. I made his tail double length, and I did completely different, longer ears. .) Not sure what he is. XD Not quite a cat, dog, or elf. Somewhere in between I suppose. XD

Oh my he is so cute. I dont think he needs hair or clothes either. He is like and alien leader. He is wise, maybe a toga if anything. So cute. Great job amazing first poppet. And I totally agree. When I started to make this pattern I had sewing skills, but making these beauties has really increased my sewing confidence. I have made all sort of stuff now. So thanks to Ghilie again for this awesome pattern.

Trying one puamelia, read through some of the posts and god I'm so glad someone recomended the freezer paper method. The lil one is playing and drawing on my scraps leaving me free to work, best idea ever! I have to agree with you, that angel is so lovely, hope mine turns out atleast 1/2 as good as most of the ones I've seen thus far!

Stuck on how to do the hair tho (>.>) I love the yarn, but no idea how to get it so neat and well laid on her lil head o.o any ideas?

Many different hair methods, from crocheting a cap or using netting and hooking yarn onto it, to sewing yarn into wefts them sewing those onto the head in rows, and of course just sewing strands directly onto head. There may be links on the first page. I'm on my phone at the moment so surfing is slow for me. You can also do a search for doll hair. I am sure yours will turn out great!

Ok here's what I managed hehe =^.^= the lil one calls her Bunny

Her little outfit took me 6 hours (T.T) and a lot of pricked fingers but I did it haha, still have to add the binding to the outside of the collar but for a lil doll for my baby girl, I think its satisfactory for now ^.^
