I could hand sew, but I would be concerned about how long it would take me and my package being late!!

Maybe Santa will leave me a sewing machine **Hint hint Ian, if you are reading this**

Mountains and Clouds Well you have time to figure it out, like someone just said you wont know till you try it.

bambam91 we have had hand sewers in the past, but I would start leaving pics of sewing machines, and sticky notes with great sales and flat out tell your santa you want one. There is nothing worse than not having a machine when you need one.

Mountains and Clouds I wasn't a sewist either. More ceramics and jewelry.

bambam91 my first one was completely hand sewn. Poppet swaps have notoriously long crafting times. Good things come to those who wait. Wink

I hope the timing works out for everyone to play!

Hmm. I wonder if I can convince my husband to let me participate in this swap. We kind of have an agreement that I don't swap anymore, but this one is super tempting.

Mele, that topic came up here, and so I can only swap one swap at a time, and the only cost is postage. So I forego the Starbucks coffees for a bit. Fortunately I have a fairly large and varied stash. And sometimes I find that some of the kids' outgrown clothes sneak into my fabric stash... Wink

I am up to page 169 woot!!

I think we need a poppet FAQ page link at the start.

Because I am sure I am going to ask questions that are already answered.

Just wanted to confirm as an alternative can I use Craft Velour or buckskin?? (I found a website that sells it, I do  not have a Walmart or Joanne's. Joanne's do not ship internationally)

I have some polar fleece, but it is too stretchy.

And will any doll joints work as well, because the dritz ones are not available in Australia Sad
