How do you get that lovely blush colour on the poppet's cheeks?Huh?

I can not find freezer paper in Australia and our paper reams come covered in a plasticy cover (I checked the ones at work) or in Boxes..

Could I use baking paper, or tracing paper. Because they have a waxy side

The blush is just blush or a little bit of pastels, whatever is in your closet.

Freezer paper has a waxy side and a paper side, which is why it works.  I'm unfamiliar with baking paper.  Maybe you could ask the butcher in your supermarket?

You could always test it.  Just iron the waxy side onto some scrap fabric and see if it sticks and peels off nicely.  Dont touch the wax part to your iron though.

So things are crazy right now, but I would love a poppet swap after the first of the new year. I would be willing to organize one too.

Awesome!!

I might just give it a whirl!! You don't know if you never try Smiley

The blush looks great. I did not realise that it was actual blush. I am still working my way through reading the thread.

I would love to do a swap Smiley I do not have a replacement sewing machine yet!

But I would love to join.

Oh no, a swap!  I've been secretly stalking this thread for a while, but I'm not really a sewing kinda guy, even though I have been wanting to get into making poppets for a while...  I may just have to stalk the gallery!

I could hand sew, but I would be concerned about how long it would take me and my package being late!!

Maybe Santa will leave me a sewing machine **Hint hint Ian, if you are reading this**

Mountains and Clouds Well you have time to figure it out, like someone just said you wont know till you try it.

bambam91 we have had hand sewers in the past, but I would start leaving pics of sewing machines, and sticky notes with great sales and flat out tell your santa you want one. There is nothing worse than not having a machine when you need one.
