I'll do just that then. I know I could really use a confidence boost :p I just seem to always have this moment where I freeze before starting something new.

It's just one of those things - intimidating at first when you see the instructions, then you hold your breath, dive in, sew-sew-sew! and suddenly you've made eight of them, and can't wait for the next one! You'll be just fine.

I think the problem I'm having now is finding a suit and tie pattern for him for when he's made. I've had to slightly alter the pattern for my use but it wasn't too hard for me. For any curious and who may know of Slender Man, he's going to be my first doll to make. I might have to just work with something after he's made since his proportions will be so weird. I'm actually excited about this now and looking forward to starting it. Thanks for the much needed moral support guys! :p

I find it is easier making clothes with the finished doll at your fingertips. Draping and measuring make a huge difference!

Alright, I'll wait then. I think that's what I needed to hear on that end before final decision. Time to get this party started!

I do the clothes patterns with the finished doll, I make copies of pattern pieces from patterns I already have. Like in the instructions there are usually illistrations of the pattern pieces and I enlarge them to have a place to start. And if I am makeing from scratch I use paper towels. It drapes well and it is easy to cut and then if I mess up I havent lost any material. hope that helps.

My latest. Sparkles made for and named by my 5 year old daughter for her birthday. She was supposed to have a sister, but the sister is still bald and naked.
