The Ongoing Poppet and Punkin-Along

oh man any pointers on turning fingers?? I can't get the index or pinky finger turned and I don't want to rip holes in them they were sewn so nicely!!

after being sooo inspired by all the poppets i had to  pm ghilie for he pattern THANKS BUNCHES for he supe fast reply with  the pattern (like 10 mins!)  cammi has been finished for about 3 days now though  shes in  her undies still he he , as the clothes ive made for her dont seem to fit her personality with  her punk blue and white hair . shes actuall made from a microfiber suede i found ages ago in the reduced section and has been  used for a few of the bears i make, but it had stretch and doesn't  fray so  it was perfect and held up well to  major stuffing, a lil to  well i  think , its also great for not being able to see the stitching for closeing her up,  i do  have the pattern for her panties and t shirt if any one would like them as well , so  here shes is ...



and standing, though  i thought shed be bigger shes still great, shes a bit of an  exhibitionist running around on the deck in  her undies

we were talking not to long ago about our dream poppets and who would make them.
For me I'd love an averyg poppet. They are just adorable and I love the outfits. I'd also in my wildest dreams love a malibukasey poppet.

(ps. I was totally going to ask you not that long ago if you ever wanted to do a personal poppet swap [I love the Harley Quinn-ish inspired poppet you made], but then I saw that you had taken a break from poppeting)

I'd love to do one at some point(a personal swap). I do have to make one more poppet before the year is out for someone else. She will probably be purple themed. Doing a swap might make me motivated to work on her too.

thanks for the great comments, pm me with  your email address and ill create a pdf with  the pattern ... been slacking on  it had a few people ask for it , i have got the poppet bug for sure after finding covered button kits in walmart really cheap i had to  start a second one this evening taking a break from  her now, shes a deep purple going to be a mermaid i do  believe.... thanks again  every one!

I have a question about the faux fur hair too - do you just use one piece, or do you use two pieces with the fur going opposite directions, so you have a part? I have a piece of fur I'd like to use on my next poppet, but it's definitely got a direction to it, so I'm not sure how well it would work.

Ghilie, your elf poppet is SO cute! I want to make a similar one for a friend, and I'm trying to work it out if my head though I don't have time to start it yet.

mine had a direction too.  I pinned it until it looked good, then unpinned it and flipped it inside out, sewed a seam, repinned... it was a pain.

Has anyone made a poppet out of fur?  Like the faux (sp?) fur?
