I don't mind if people sell them, as long as no one sells the pattern.  I have heard of people selling patterns that they got off free websites.

I know, but that is just beyond 'not acceptable'. My poppets are for fun and adventure only. Cool

Guys, I charge $50 for a basic sock monkey and that barely pays me minimum wage (it's higher in Canada than in the states but our cost of living is higher too, min wage here is over $10). No way would I make a poppet or any other kind of involved doll for sale, only if it was a commision and they were willing to pay a reasonable amount (which would be a LOT). It's a nice idea that friends and relatives who want one give you enough to cover supply costs, I like that idea a lot. But other than that, I craft for fun and to save money on gifts.

Ghilie, very generous of you to allow the sale of your creation, that's lovely. Be nice if everyone using the pattern would give back to the site and become a friend of craftster though...

Smiley I did just for that reason last year. But my fund have been limited this year due to not working. I quit my job late november to focus on being a housewife. (hopefully soon an upgrade to stay at home mom)

Also wanted to say if you are selling something from a pattern it is super important to ask permission first! And save the e-mail or letter if you are given it. If not don't do it. It's not worth the possible lawsuit.
