The original pattern calls for 1/4 yd material but I usually buy 1/2 but I can get two poppets out of it.

I haven't made a poppet in ages but I needed a bday present for my son's friend tomorrow so I whipped this up today. I didn't actually use the pattern, just free hand cut out the shapes in fleece and some weird scaley fabric. I put a small piece of dowel into the neck for stability 'cause I didn't want to stuff this hard, fleece just keeps on stretching and stretching and stretching!
He's got ears and small horns, purple claws, wings and scales on his back and tail. There are bigger pics in flickr if you want to take a look.



It's much faster to make a poppet if you cheat Wink.
