Well, I started her long before christmas and in that time I've given up about three times then picked her up again, remade her legs twice, thrown her in a bucket of water by accident and given up on deformed limbs and declared her some kind of fairy thing but she's finished XD

I've got some nicer fabric to work with for the next one (this girl is made from am old very stretchy t-shirt) so hopefully she won't be as much trouble, but this girl is still lovely XD

Do her markings mean anything? I have been meaning to make some poppets from one of my favourite book series "The Mortal Instruments"... And all of the characters have really cool runes all over their bodies, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet...

How did you manage to throw her in a bucket of water? Cheesy
Right. For my mum'd birthday I bought her flowers and hid them in my room in a bucket until the day. Because I'm a genuis I put the bucket next to the craft table XD In the interval between my taking the flowers to my mum and moving the bucket I somehow managed to drop her into it XD She spent a week on the radiator though and dried out fine, though she didn't have any legs or hair at that point so it was a bit creepy.

@Averg
No, her markings don't mean anything. I just really love large tattoos like that so decided to give her some. It's just a swirl pattern I made up as a drew it on Smiley

I thought I'd share my first poppet, which I made this afternoon, with you all  Smiley

Her name is Jazzy and she now belongs to my 10 yr old daughter who loves her to bits and helped make her. Please excuse her shoes (and the quality of photos), but we were in a hurry to get her finished and post a pic. Also my order of false eyelashes hasn't arrived, so she's eyelash-less Sad

I'm already looking forward to making my next poppet  Grin

Thank you Ghilie for the awesome pattern <3

I'm sorry, but as I'm a noob I'm not yet allowed to post pics and have to use links instead  Sad

She's sweet!  Smiley i love her dress, the back is awesome. your daughter will have great fun with her. Grin  i would love to make an elf, it would be awesome to see if Inez would share her pattern. My daughter is totally into elves and her birthday is in a couple of weeks. She'll be 14, what an awesome birthday surprise that would be Grin

I love Inez's also, so I think I will take the pattern and elongate everything and save to a pdf. I love clonedbravos Caressa pattern poppets, hers came out so much better than the original, but all of these mods are great.

I made an elongated pdf for 3 pages or here is a layout on flikr that you need to print over 4 pages. I can't seem to get anywhere to post an original size.

oops, sorry it's the first one that's marked private. I can see the second one just fine, that's the pattern page.
