Sooo... i just finished my first poppet!!!!
im happy/surprised to say that she came out just like i pictured her. except for the eyes, but i can deal with that.
she doesnt have a name since her new owner is going to do that. im kinda sad at seeing her go though... for a second as i looked at her, a dark thought went through my mind and i was about to keep her... =(
but my friend has waited long enough, and she will be a good owner for her.
anyways, without further ado...

you can see more of her pics over here:

Well 24 hours later and here is what I have so far..... I am gonna try and close up her limbs tonight and then attach them to her body.  I thinkI will save the body sculpting for the morning.  Then I just need to add hair and make her clothes!  I need to have her done by about 4:00 pm tomorrow (it's 11:30 pm now).  She is gonna be a Halloween witch!

The piggy is adorable!  It think she needs some little pink pigtails.  lol.

Thanks for all the nice comments!
And yes of course; she has a piggytail. Forgot to take a pic of that. Will do that with a nice pic of her clothes (she has a flowered dress and a crocheted bolero).

Update with pictures!

Her piggytail!

Flowerdress

She looks a bit like a granny, right?

I like her, but I don't like the granny look haha! But when I add the (fur) hair it will change. And have some other fabrics for clothes too.

My second and third poppets were made for the Coraline swap. They are now safe with their new owner so here's a pic

My first poppet still needs clothes but at least I feel confident I can make them now.

More updates on the poppet....I am finished with all the body sculpting and attaching the limbs.  Now I am going to start the hair wefting.  I think I may add some black "eyeliner" as well to try and mask her slight "lazy eye"....getting the eyelashes and eyelids even was more of a challenge than I had originally anticipated.  Anyhow here she is thus far...

Hi ladies.  Its been nearly a year since I posted.  Embarrassed  Been tons of stuff going on.  Just recently, thyroid surgery, and now tore a bunch of ligaments off my ankle.  Needless to say, not a lot of time to craft.  Hoping that this is the start of coming back to it.

My newest edition, poppets 3+4.  My daughter asked me to make a poppet for her friends birthday on saturday.  So I willingly obliged.  Then my daughter asked me to make one for her own birthday which is thursday.  So, I made two poppets this past weekend.  Both girls will be 9.

Natalie, and Punk (no name yet) Poppet.

And here is their own post.  Let me know what you think.

p.s. Glad to be back!

Wow, poppet explosion! I love all the new ones.

tokitoki729- she looks great, very anime-esque. Her outfit looks like something I would wear.

ilsepielse- I don't think we've had a piggy poppet before but I kind of like her classy style!

ellemir- squee! What did you use for the brown hair? It's looks so cool. The button eyes are really getting to me too.

snazzlecraft- You did it! She looks great, what kind of fabric did you use? It looks really nice.

dessadoll- They look awesome, a perfect blend of sweetness and attitude, just like nine-year-olds lol.

Wonderful new poppets! I love the large eyes.
The orange witchy girl is fantastic! The color of her skin goes great with her eyes. Can't wait to see her finished.
Well I'm very sad.  Cry The last poppet I made was sent on to her new home. I posted her link here awhile back. Her name was Bonnie. It looks like her new owner has flaked on her end of the personal swap.  Cry So now I sent a poppet to someone that is sending me nothing. Lesson learned about personal swappage. I guess from now on I'll only be personal swapping with Craftster's I "know".
