Genius! I was thinking about putting wire through the head and neck but your way seems so much simpler Ghilie.

Ok, I think I get it. The hole in the head stays open, just 'filled up' with the neck stump, yes?

yep.  Cheesy

Another one done, well done enough to post pictures of her. I am making her with another (sisters) but she is still naked as this one took her clothes (they fit her better).

More pics of her can be found here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=316441.msg3718138#msg3718138

Number 8, sister of number 7, is finished enough to show.
She only has a close up shot of her head on another thread, but more pictures will come once everything is complete.

I love her hair! I don't know if you ever played neopets or have seen any of the artwork from their site but they have a faerie that looks exactly like this poppet. Come to think of it, now I want to make some poppets that look like those faeries. I used to be addicted to those games!

Oh, ok. My kids had collected a few neopets but it sort of stopped at that so never knew of many characters.
Cool to know, even though it was completely unintentional.
She is for a friend and when we chose the yarn for the hair we were a little worried she might end up like a Christmas tree. It turned out all right in the end fortunately.
Cute pic Eliea..that would be quite a doable and could look quite cute!

Thanks for your comments
