Occasionally the thick-ish fabric for poppets makes my sewing machine cranky.  Its soooo much easier to sew poppets with a sewing machine then by hand.  Get some canned air and make sure that you keep your bobbin housing pretty clean.  The fabric likes to make fuzz in there.  Also, make sure you have a good sharp needle.

i am dissapointed. the fabric sewed up fine, but it made it look wonky. i do not have the money or will to buy new fabric. none of the things for goodwill will work. and something is wrong with the eyes, they look evil. it's probably the lid. and because i thought it was working i locked the eyes on... i don't want to use the gathering method where you lock the eye then cut a slit and gather around, insert eye pull and knot

i am sad. and by the rate this is going  i'll only find the fabric later in the year when i will be too busy

le *sigh*

Does it just need stuffed more/less? Do you have a picture? What glue did you use for the eyelids? Depending on all those things I bet we can get her to a point where you are happy with her. Smiley
Post a pic and lets see what can come of it. Smiley

i killed it.... i tried various amounts of stuffing.. i used gluestick for eyelids(it actually works the best evr)
i'll try another one in a few minutes.. i need to relax and what better than crafting
though i am really proud of the eyes- first time with lids and lashes...
here is a picture

very blurry i think the problem is the eyelashes are not attached strongly enough.. but i have no other glue. ideas?
and here is a picture of supplies except fabric for poppeting

I made a poppet for crafty+sassy for the August Birthday 09 swap. Here is one pic, and a link to the pics she posted.
