Oh kay so I tried to click on the last link and it came up forbidden.

So I have a problem a good problem. I just made a new poppet she is green with tan and brown hair named autumn and my mom just loves her and called dibs. But when I brought her home to finish her my daughter who has not shown any interest in any other poppets has started to play with her and doesn't want to give her up. I am torn my mom would love this doll and it would go great in her house and I have another in the works for her b day but after all the toys dolls and poppets I have made for my daughter she finally is playing with one. It usually is that if I make it she will not even touch it. What should I do? HELP

You have to be a registered user of www.denofangels.com to see the pages.  But!  It's a fun site and free to sign up.  As for your other problem, I would ask your mom what to do - you can always make your mom another and I'm sure she will understand.

yeah, i mean, if its the first time you DD will play with anything you made, then i am sure your mom will understand, you could always make her another poppet
i fixed it.... but here it is again

meanwhile, while i am still out of poppeting, i am quitely planning (mwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *pant pant* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) a (F)BUJI
what is a buji you ask?
the BU stands for button, the J for jointed and the I for imbecile whatever you wish and the f is occasionally added and stands for fabric
its a doll with joints in knees elbows shoulders and hips
another thingy, i figured out how to make an eye look like a human eye in dolls (not sticking out so much, but more sunk in)
just need to run a few prototypes....
she'll have a roving wig like this:

and i'll lightly sculpt her to give a similar shape, and i'll paint her in traditional bjd style, with the added lashes though...... my question is.....
should i make her skinny like above pic or chubby:

long post (mwa ha ha ha hah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *pant pant pant* ha ha ha *pant pant* ha ha ha ha ha ha )

I've been dragging my feet on this poppet.  I made all of her clothes first (the most fun!).  I finally got around to sewing the poppet body.  Its all sewn, just needs stuffed.

It was pretty bad, but luckily the three of them managed to figure it out.

Is it possible to hand-sew a poppet? Tongue
