Yesturday I had a head burn.  I still haven't looked to see if one of the many kids that pass thru my garage to go to my back yard touched the temp on my toaster oven yet but they all should know better.  But my poor purple poppet face had a brown burn mark on it.  And it was the last of my purple.    Will have to see if I can get to Joanne's to get more.  I started working on an Aqua colored one last night. I have my football poppet done including a helmet which my son doesn't want on his head.  I showed my neighbor him last night and she wants one.  I stil have gotten batteries but will put a picture up this week since one of my daughters needs my camera for a trip this weekend.

Thats terrible KimD!  but now you can say your poppet survived a horrible accident. Or stood too close to the curling iron!

Since she was supposed to be a flower I could just say she got some extra dirt there.  Since I just got the purple Saturday I know Joannes stilll has it.

Went and got batteries for camera so here is Boogalou Bob, the football player.  My son named him I have always called him Boogalou and I just don't get my kids saying hi I'm Bob it came from something they have watched so that is how he got his name.  I have better pictures but still have to crop them.

Shoot just noticed I cropped the wrong picture in front of him is his helmet.

KimD- you can put a fake flower behind the safety eye, covering up the burn.

Bob is so cute! I wonder how many poppet football players there are?

I have a question for those of you who have used iron-on transfers for eyes. Is it okay to do the iron-on and then put it in the oven to bake the sculpey for the nose? It seems like it would be fine, but I have a little nagging voice in my head that says ask the poppeteers before you put it in the oven!

Oh, and I wanted to share this guy with you all, too. I did a little tinkering with the poppet pattern and came up with a Gelfling! I made him for the Henson swap and, since he got to his new home, I thought I'd share! His thread is here:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304910.0

Tate and Tigan were sad to see him go

Ah, he will be missed Smiley

Now they are demanding more boy poppets to play with, so I am undertaking quite a project for them . . .
