FizzyKitten- yay!  I'm glad you found us.  My only advice is to take your time.  And if you get stuck, we're here to help.

Thanks!  Also, I absolutely adore your icon.

LOL, thanks.  I've yet to make an anime-inspired poppet.  I've been wanting to make "grown up" Shikamaru from Naruto, but I keep forgetting to buy green fabric.  A Chiyo chan poppet would be adorable!  *wheels turning in head*

Okay I was wondering if someone can do me a revised pattern of the body and do some kind of rough estimates of where the arms and legs should go?  I acidentally sewed my leg on upside down and my poppet's left shoulder is bigger than the right shoulder and her arm is about a half an inch lower than the left one... Im gonna have the same problem with the legs.... I was wondering if ghille or someone can revise the pattern with placement markers?? I would be soooo appreciative of that!!

Well Im gonna go work on my poppet's hair now.  I'll be around later to check back.  If you could help me out with a revised pattern for my 2nd try, please PM me!!  I just need someone to help me out in placing the arms and legs.

aquasnow- I'm going to start on a new poppet soon, I'll take some pics of the toes (you were asking about that earlier) and the assembly.  It'll probably take me a couple days, but I'll post them sometime this week.

ayanared- we're here to help!

OH! I forgot to mention, I managed to get eyelids glued onto the doll eyes only using quick drying tacky glue Smiley

There are no placement markers cuz each body and is stuffed differently, and arm placement is very individual.  Some people may want very sloped shoulders and some may want shoulders thrown high and to the back... it's all about the attitude of the doll.  What I do, though, is take my stuffed arms and place them where I want them.  Then, without letting go, very slightly mark where the needle hole should go (that is, where the shank of the button inside the arm is touching.)

ah Im not familiar with doll jointing, for the sake of learning the pattern for now I just sewed everything together.  Next doll, I'll use the joint method.  Im just in a trial and error mode right now.
