I like your pic. Very good graphics. I think we can all follow along and see how you smushed the poppet to get the effect.

These poppet things have me baffled. I think I want one Smiley

I couldn't find the right stuff at JAs for the poppet body Sad  Then I went to the grocery store and forgot freezer paper.  Doh!

MommytheMaid- do you have a Hancock fabric?  The one by me has all kinds of colors of Alova suede.  I also found the doll needles and buttons there.  Also, I didn't have any freezer paper, so I just cut the pattern pieces out and pinned them to the fabric.  It works pretty well.

I did the same thing, works just fine.

Score!  I was just at Hancock, and they had some beautiful black Alova suede in the remnants.  I got about 3/4 of a yard, and all remnants are on sale for $1.99 a yard!  w00t!  I'm going to use it for my circus poppet, I think.

Ok, I have a confession to make. I haven't poppeted for ages! I completely disappeared for a good eight months or more, and now, if you'll take me in, can I come back? please?! Because Coraline is coming out on UK screens may 8th, and I suddenly realised that I need a coraline poppet! So please re-accept me into the poppet family!  Smiley

I find it hard to joint a really stuffed poppet at times, once I bent the doll needle that I had trying to joint the legs and had to buy a new one, there's just no way I'd be able to joint with a regular needle.

One?  What makes you think you'll stop at just one?

So True!

You HAVE to check out MalibuKasey's Coraline poppet, it's in the picture line up on the first page of toys, it's definitely the best Coraline doll that I have seen and one of the best poppets that I've seen too!
