I agree with Eliea, just turn the raw edges inward and used a curved needle, they do make things *so* much easier. If you can't do the hidden stitch after looking at the tut you could try a whipstitch? Just make the stitches tiny.

littlezo, how large is the needle that you're trying to use? I've used a 5 inch needle before but it was a little difficult, I think anything smaller than that may prove to be a bit of a challenge.

yay my poppet has hair (and she looks great if i do say so my self!) im just waiting for my mom to bring home the load of buttonds she has at school(shes a teacher!) so i can do my joining!!! i don't have a big needle and dont really have any way of getting one will that matter?

shh! here's a secret: you can easily join poppet with a regular needle if you don't mind squishing the boobs and butt area just insert like regular and with one hand squishing the area you want the needle to come out, the other the eye area it will work let me see if i can draw it!

excuse the horrible paint drawing i suck! the dent on the left is to show that you are squishing it
maybe you can understand better now but i doubt it cuz my pic is crappy

I did all my first 3 like that as I couldn't find the long needles. it was a tad tricky and I found I had to use pliers once or twice to get the needle out as the eyes were to big/small but not really hard. Just a bit challenging!

I like your pic. Very good graphics. I think we can all follow along and see how you smushed the poppet to get the effect.

These poppet things have me baffled. I think I want one Smiley
