My newest poppet! Made for Eliea, just 'cause, ya know!

her thread is here
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=282198.0

I love her eyes! They tilt ever-so-slightly up at the outside corners, giving her a coy come-hither look!

Hope you like her Eliea!!!!

She's really cute. Love her eyes too. I like the white alova with white yarn. I just picked some white alova up the other day for 70% off!! whoohoo!!

The stores sold out last year. I only found a small piece that had nasty dirty shoe print on it.

I'm finishing up my first poppet! The clothes are just pinned on, and need a LOT of finishing, but I like her. She's a zombie poppet!

Her thread is here, where there are a couple more pics.

Ghilie, thank you so much for sharing your pattern! I've already bought the materials to make two more... It's an addiction!

Proudly announcing the birth of two baby poppets.

Thanks atsuko for the pattern.  Hope you don't mind, I was a little intimidated by the size of the original pattern so I enlarged it a little.  These were so much fun to make.  Four more to go before Christmas.

Thought I'd share my mom's very 1st attempt at a Cornish Pixie Poppet.

And, attacking one of the dogs!

We shrank the body size a little and kept the original head size.  However, she DIDN'T read the instructions til she had already started!  Oopsy!!  (She's a stubborn woman!)  Needless to say, due to her fabric choice and the lack of planning, she ended up hand-stitching the whole thing and made everything WAY more difficult than it should have been.  Smiley  But, my daughter thinks he's adorable.  And, to me, that is what's important.  Hehe

We are still working on the wings and plan to make a second version based MORE closely to the instructions out of blue suede we managed to find.  I will post both pixie poppets in their own thread when they are finished and link them in here.

Thank you, ghilie, for sharing this patttern with us!

LOL, the first instruction is to read the instructions!

Cute little ones, all!

First of all a big thank you to ghilie for sending me her marvellous poppet pattern.  It was with great trepidation that I decided to attempt something that looked so marvellous and therefore so challenging.
So far everything is going according to plan.  That is because ghilie's pattern and instructions are super awesome and easy to follow.

This lovely lady is for my daughter who has asked if I could pretty, pretty please make her a mermaid doll?  Here goes.
Stage one: head on a stick.  I added some blue and green ribbon and some beads to her hair as I didn't think there was enough contrast between her hair and her skin (which is made of the only fabric I had on hand.)

Ignore the bridge of her nose, it looks like a hole, but its not and I have fixed it.
