for a beard I wonder if some furry fabric would work? It's expensive but you should be able to get a cheap sample from distinctivefabric.com Maybe you can glue it on. especially since they're not for kids.

You guys are making me scared to drink the water here! lol.
Congrats MK!

Here's a pic of the bride and groom to be:

His beard isn't really long but wefting it might work. I've also been considering embroidery but I really stink at embroidery. Sad I suppose I could hide the ends in his hair though....

I don't know what their colors are of her dress or that sort of thing. She hasn't decided on more than a date right now. October 4th is the deadline. Smiley Hubby suggested I make their bodies and wait to do the clothing so I'd have them mostly done. He actually thinks that would be a neat gift. Smiley

craftewoman - the dalmation doggie is very sweet. Is she staying at your house or is she being adopted out? She needs her own thread so we can "Rock the Vote" for her. I think Dolly would be a good name if she needs one. Or Spot. Or Spottie

MK - guess you enjoyed your vacation... Congrats!

Eliea - I think they make stuff for doll beards but I think it's usually for Santa. Maybe it can be dyed. There are some yarns that you could overcast stitch down then trim. What color? I might have some black. I look later. My computers been overheating today. It was 87 yesterday and pretty hot today as well. Guess I need to see if the AC still works. OK you just posted the pic while I was typing this. I think you could take some yarn and just stitch it down. Not embroidery and not weft. Follow?

I did my bride but I didn't get the tux yet for the groom. My leg still hurts too much. And I really need to tame the weeds before my house disappears in them...
