Well, pinup girl's body is done...and doesn't look at all the way I wanted it to.   Undecided  So instead of having a poppet with the body type of Nezbutt's bike mechanic, I have one who is shaped a lot more like the average person--boobs not all that big (or that high and squashed together), really big hips and booty, and the only place her waist is small is right under her boobs!   Cheesy

I am doing her hair & clothes today, so I should be able to get some pics up tonight.  then I will have to wait on the next poppets until I get some of these other piled up projects done.

Yay! I finished her. My version of the Spiderwick Chronicles Pacific sea Maid. Ugh. now I have to fold the mountains of laundry on my couch. Boo hoo! Not fun!

Wow! Shocked Amazing mermaid!

It's starting to look like a poppet massacre at my desk, I've got 4 heads on my desk at the moment.
1. Mini Me: Eye whites painted, partially haired. Goes to my mom
2. Katrinka: cat like placement for ears, eye whites painted. Goes to my sis
3. Liebchen (?): Eyes whites and nothing else. Goes to mother in law. Hair colors to be similar to JB.
4. Kwerkie: Odd ears, I thought I had them placed the same... One ear goes up, on ear goes down. Mine! I like odd dolls...

and of course Ishtar wanting her legs >.>

I've finally had chance to upload a pic of my pink poppet
Here she is in all her pinkness:

She's gone to live with my friend Nat. This is the first poppet I've done that sticks completely to the original pattern. Apparently, I suck at sculpting fingers and toes... Ah well, Nat liked her =]

She's Purdy! I love all of your "not sticking to the original poppet pattern!" You were the first one to make one with fingers. I find it hard to believe that you can't do paw sculpting after doing fingers which are LOADS harder!

Oh, she looks so sweet Sammy ^.^ I love that shade of pink!

The four sisters are progressing...

Katrinka has hair, not sewn down yet. It's wefted. I gave in... It's a neat yarn MiL gave me Smiley It's called Steeltown at night and is a wool/nylon/acrylic blend. Black/red/purple....

Mini me has hair, eyes and lips.

Liebchen is no further along, and I tried my hand at dreads for Kwerkie... Not this time around. They'll look nifty, but too much atm.
