I've got a Brother, it's held up well and yep, saved me money, lol! Of course Hubb doesn't see the stash of fabric as me saving money.........hehe. But at Christmas he's always singing its praises. ^-~

Oooh! Love that fabric ^-^ What a neat poppet she's going to be. Can't wait to see her finished.

SHE's FINALLY DONE!  Whew! This one was a job and a half,  (3 heads, 2 torsos...)  but I'm pretty proud of her in the end.

Here's the link to her thread, and a teaser pic:

I was meaning to ask earlier....
Didn't you make the raccoon poppet out of felt? How did it go? I saw some felt at jo-anns over the weekend and loved the color but hesitated to get it because the only thing I could think of to make with it was a poppet! lol.

This is the fabric and yarn combination I got.  I'm not too sure about the yarn.  Undecided

Yup, the racoon was made out of felt.  I couldn't stuff nearly as full as I did with the suede fabric or the seams would go all wonky - other than that, I loved working with it.  Cheesy

I always try about three different wefts on each head and let the doll choose.  Cheesy (I have wefts everywhere!) I have learned my lesson about buying hair before the doll is finished.

You sew across the yarn strands to make hair pieces.

It can come off if you do it that way. IF it's going to a kid wefts are really easy and much safer. If it's just for you to dress and handle gently then go for it!

Awesome thanks!
