He  he I have a Hemostat. ^-^ It showed up in one of my grandmothers old craft boxes and i've used it to keep a hold of threads ever since. I've used it to hold needles before too but its easier on my hands to use the pliers. Never really thought of using it to turn fingers.

I'm so excited about the runway, I got pictures done today. ^-^ I made a stand sort of like that wire hanger one Eliea showed the other day. I took and duct taped a second hanger upside down. Cut both the hooks off since I couldn't get them twisted around the middle very well and then squeezed the upside down hanger into a straight line. It was a bit tall but I stuck the excess hanger into her hair and it kept her head up straight. Helped with keeping her upright too.

So it was the same at the bottom as the other stand but a straight metal rod up the back inside her clothes. Poor Lola kept looking at me like, Woman, get this thing outa my outfit! *he he*

I'm bringing sexy back, I think I dropped it somewhere between the donut shop and the Cheesecake Factory.

Wow, this took forever!  I got the pattern three and a half months ago, but in the meantime, we moved and worked on adopting my nephew, so things have been pretty insane.

The fabric she's sitting/standing on is going to be a dress tomorrow, but I just worked for twelve hours nonstop to make her, so I think she's good for now.

You can't read the embroidery on the heart very well because it's in metallic thread, but it says "Will" (my nephew's name).  It's going to be his birthday present in a couple of days.

oh she's lovely!! she looks like a racoon...her tail is so cute!!

so I just got my supplies together for my first poppet only I'm now a little worried about my eyes. I got 18mm, are those gonna look huge? could someone maybe post a pic of a normal sized poppet with 18mm eyes?

everyone here uses 15-18mm eyes, I don't think they'll look huge. if they do play up to that and make her very kawaii!!

My Delilah has 18mm eyes

The other poppets I've done have 15mm.

So i figuired out why my hair tracks are too heavy!!!

MalibuKasey uses light pretty wispy yarn.

I'm using warsted weight and makking them as full as possible.

so now I have a bunch of un used hair tracks OR a lot of work ripping off and remaking 3 hairtracks...grr...

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM
