Hey everyone!
I just got the pattern emailed to me, and I can't wait to start making my first poppet. As I impatiently wait for a ride to the fabric store (I can't drive yet, I'm only 15) I've been looking at pictures of everyones creations to get ideas. I love the dolls personality and I can't wait to start.

Mind if I take a few photos to post? Its your idea, but I dunno if you wanted to be first posting pics... Undecided

Great picture! I also just got back from Joanns and found the half ball cover buttons and some 5" doll needles. I couldn't find anything else. =/

The longer needles are actually upholstery needles.

No I meant those are fine, the 5" doll needles.  For jointing, I use an 8" upholstery needle.   But, that isn't necessary.   Cheesy

OH. Next time I go to Joanns I'll get an upholstery needle. I saw some in the very back, but didn't think those were the ones. ^^U

Has anyone tried chenille for poppet making yet? I found some today at JoAnn's that is almost irresistable. Also, what size eyes do I need for my poppet?

I think most people have been using the 18 mm eyes. Chenille would be really cool. Soft and furry. I'd zigzag the seams for strength.
