Hey, Something else that can be causing all of these machines to jam, is the lint that collects under the bobbin case. If you've tried everything else, take your machine to have it services, or if you're brave, check yourself. I guess the toe jam comment got me thinking.... Poor Carl!

Do a google search for alova suede and pick images and what do you get? This:

On the upper right, we have Ghilie and MK's poppets. Too funny huh?

 HAHA! We're FAMOUS!! lol!

Has anyone made a bride & groom poppet?

After I make my first poppet I'm planning to make poppet versions of me and my girlfriend.  ^_^

Assuming I don't totally screw up the first one and give up, of course. Tongue

thank you! i will go and have a look now that i have calmed down *sigh*
It shouldn't need servicing, it was properly serviced under a month ago
That's an easy thing to fix too. Just by a can of compressed air from and office supply store, or the wal-mart in the appliance section.

Thanks all for the great comments on the purses.
I'm off to make bikini's now!!
I'll try to get a couple of action shots of the girls in their bikini's to post on here.  Grin
By the way, making clothes for the mini poppets is a pain in the arse!!!!!!!1  Lips sealed
I made an item today and it turned out big enough for a barbie doll so I'm off to make that again too  Undecided I think the mini poppet clothes have taken me lots more time than regular clothes. I can't use craftewoman's patterns for them either  Cry

Everyone seems to be doing fabulously on these but I am an enormous coward. I desperately want to try making one but I'm terrified of it going wrong. Is it advisable to hand sew or use a sewing machine to make these? My sewing machine will create a far stronger hem but I'm concerned that I wouldn't have the control I need.

I really want to make a few for myself and as presents for friends. Please reassure me that this is fairly idiot proof. (Nothing is idiot proof to a sufficiantly talented idiot!)
