I get my eyes at hobby lobby too! Those backs are sooo hard! But, there is a trick! Just wave a lighter a few times behind it to make it flexible enough to snap on the post.. It softens up the plastic just enough to slide right on!

DragonFly... Oh yes, Hancocks! I was there when I was visiting Utah last September! Is it the one by Walmart on Main that is kinda across from Lonestar? Or is it the Ogden one? Oh, how I do miss home right about now...They finally put a Sally's beauty supply in the WalMart parking lot AFTER I move away. It was a hassle having to drive through Riverdale just to go... Anyhow, coffee babble. I was one of the Poppeteers that was looking for White Alova suede! I can trade supplies or whatever! Just PM me if you are interested and I can tell you what all I have!

ANNNNNDD, just to put it out there I am excited to see a green poppet.

I made the mistake of letting my daughters bring thier Poppets to my practice, now I have some of my Derby gals barking orders for thier Poppets, and they even want me to make Roller Derby Poppets!

I bought some clear eyes off of ebay, 18 pairs for 7 dollars, and the backs are soooo easy to get on, I love it.  I will actually be able to put eyelashes and lids on the eyes first and then put them on without messing them up.  Plus, I get to choose the color.
I paid that price and bought 100 with backs from sunshine crafts.
I do like my local dime store too. They tend to have larger packages of different colors than hobby lobby. That and I only go to hobby lobby when I need several things and lately they never have anything I need.

Looks like some cool ideas Minorpunk.
I've been told by my DH that he wants me to do some other projects before I make another poppet. Boo! I'm waiting for my doll mag to arrive, and some eyes that sweets4ever is sending me anyway. And to his credit, the love seat is looking pretty bad and needs a new cover. And I have to repair one of my son's bed.
I am so excited about starting on the mermaid though. And I think my sis is waiting for me to make the tiger for my dad before she sends off her package of late Christmas presents. I am still secretly, and subversively making clothes for the EGL poppet I made.
