oh, pink. brown and pink is such a classic combination. it would be very bright though. you could mix it with some brown to mute it a bit.

i do so love brown and pink together. hmm, i've been thinking about another giant granny square afghan... ideas ideas...

Alrighty, everyone here is far to productive! Grin I'm in love with brown sparkly poppet, I think the blue hair too.

So, I finally got around to dressing my poppet, just in time to wrap her up.  Is is sad that I put air holes in the box so she could breathe?

Here's a close up of the top of her dress.

And here's a full length.

What do you think?

And last of all, I just wanted to wish all the poppeteers and poppets a happy and safe festive season! (Especially all those poppets going to new homes for christmas!)

ok! I can VERY merrily say that I finally started on my first poppet!!! (muppet cheers). Sadly I don't have a working camera- like- thingy at the moment, but she's turning out really well. Bit of a delay on finishing due to safety-eye shortages, but I bought them today, so soon i will have a happy, sighted, new poppet! Yay!

I finally have my sewing machine back Wink I am going to try spraying the pattern pieces with fabric basting spray to stick it temporarily to the fabric - we can't get freezer paper easily over here!

Do you have reams of paper at work or home?  The paper that the reams are packaged in is like freezer paper.

You could also try disappearing pen to trace around the piece, but sometimes it doesn't always disappear.

Visit http://ghilie.wordpress.com/ for the poppet pattern.
