Other forums have craftalongs?  Where??!
One of the crochet forums I'm on has craft alongs for certain time periods only. Smiley

oh geez, i'm not mad! i just think it's funny as it gets asked quite a bit.

i wonder how it could be worded to be more clear. let's pool our enormous creativity and come up with something perfect.

how about ongoing open signups (until further notice) or something like that. maybe a brief paragraph in the intro?

Perhaps a breif description of what this craft-along means? Something like:
This craft-along is for people who have made or are interested in making poppet dolls designed by ghilie. Simply PM Ghilie for the pattern and start posting to join! There is currently no end date for this so pm at any time.
And perhaps a description of what a craft along is?
That's just me. Smiley
Craftalongs really confused me when I first joined craftster becasue I thought it was a commitment type thing and you HAD to do it and if you didn't but signed up you were bad. etc. lol. I didn't realize they're just for fun to help us finish a project. Smiley

I need an opinion!!! My ears a crooked and I am not sure if I should redo it or leave it. But I can't just un-sew it because I have fabric  that frays horribly. I know shame on me but I love the feel that it is worth using!! Here she is:

I am not sure if you can see it but her left (on the right side of pic) is pointing down some! I want to know what all the other poppetters think!!

Also ghilie I have some advise for the pattern, if you would like it. But I found that if you put two sets of arms, legs and ears on one page it would save time if you are like me and just put freezer paper in the printer and print. Let me know what you think of that!

I think the crooked ears give the purple head character. Besides, if you add hair it won't really be noticable.

I like the ear like it is, gives it character. Maybe you can make her expression kind of questioning, like she's tilting her head to one side. Plus, I agree with ClonedBravo, I don't think it will be noticeable unless you want it to be.

Just have it become part of its personality...Make it have an emotional face. Like Brian Frouds Characters ears seem to go with its personality or moods... Take the ear and go from there. Even give it earrings and then totally play it up with the hair. That is what me'thinks!

Each poppet I do has something "wrong" with it. That's what makes them so much fun, and gives them personality. Go with it!
